Our latest pootery session was…educational.  I failed to take photographs of the milk pitcher which I attempted, but it would be fair to call it “unique” and possibly “special”.  There was much giggling as I attempted to shore up the cracking walls while Anaïs built a handle, all while the clock was ticking in the last moments of the studio session.  Other projects this week included a turned bowl which I glazed and neglected to take photos of, and this elegant slabware beer stein/coffee mug hybrid, which may or may not lose its handle the instant I fill it with scalding hot liquid:

Here’s a better shot of the other pieces behind the mug.

From left to right: an experimental tray which turned out so ugly that my husband has insisted that I give it away or toss it in the garbage (Anaïs has suggested breaking it up and using the pieces in something else, which I may yet end up doing), Anaïs’ butter dish, a beautiful bunny (which I suspect has some walrus and cthulhu grandparents in the gene pool) made by my favourite 5 year old, and finally, a lovely little green and pink bowl, also Anaïs’ work.
