You may recall that a while back I posted a video of a Canuckian artist for whom I have a particular affection.
A new video was posted a few days ago - it’s a simple enough video, just Jef on a stage playing guitar, but it’s lovely.
This is what I like about Jef’s guitar work; he’s quick and sure but never showy, folky but never rustic. There’s a kind of quiet grace to it, as though he’s found some deep well of tranquility and joy, and he draws all his music from it.
I’ve been listening to the man since the day I was born - quite literally, and I never get tired of him.
