Nature is the best mathematician

As mathematical conjectures go, the problem of mono-monostatic bodies hadn’t been around too long. Fermat’s Last took 350 years, Kepler’s conjecture remained unproven for almost 390 years, and Riemann’s hypothesis is still unproven after 150 years. It only took a decade for a couple of Hungarian math geeks to come up with this one. Of course, they may have had a bit of help from evolution, which had the problem pretty well sorted a few million years ago.
Those who say that scientists can’t appreciate nature are so wrong.
